Hi, I am buying a new desktop, What should I look at when buying the display and sound card? I prefer a good quality one, and suggestion?

I guess the first question is, how much money are you willing to spend on the video card and sound card alone?

you also need to specify which motherboard you are using. it could be an AGP or PCIe video card.

around $200, I haven't decided which motherboard yet, as I am a newbie, could you tell me how's that gonna affect my choice?
