I have an NEC Product Recovery cd-rom with Win95 OS. I have done a clean install of Win98 because I didn't want to upgrade 95 to 98. All the applications are on the NEC cd and are in a .gts and .gtz file format - compressed?. The problem is that I want to install some of the apps (Word 97B, Works 4.5, ect...) from the NEC cd. My question is - does any body know how to install the apps or possibly extract them so that I can install the apps. I don't have a clue. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try WinZip 7 on the .gtz's (may be modified .gz cabinets) or Contact NEC tech support for the decompression method. (They should give it to you without to much hassle). I had to do this with a Compaq I had.
Thanks for the reply. Have tried WinZip 7 and can't open them, but I can view them with Quick View. Also, have checked the NEC web site but could not find anything. I give tech support a try as you suggested.
