I went from a AMD 2100+ to a 3000 CPU. Problem is I'm still running at the 2100 speed??? I have the latest BIOS installed. ...Thank You

so you installed a new 3000+, but your board is still using the 2100+ settings?

Both the 2100+ and 3000+ run at 13x multiplier. did you check to see that the FSB is now 166 instead of 133?

On bootup it has 166. Is there any other place to check that?

look in the bios for your fsb and multiplier settings.

where is it telling you that you are at 2100+ speeds then?

I went back into the BIOS and sure enough the FSB was at 133. On my first boot after changing out the old chip I checked the settings. I didn't do a very good job of it. Thanks Midknyte, you have me smiling. ... Ray
