Problem is I cannot get any OpenGL or D3D, when I try and play a game it freezes up. Driver prob or inability of BIOS to CORRECTLY read the CPU, it does recognize it as a 500 when set at a 66FSB or 562MHz at a 75FSB? but no OGL or D3D?????? I am using the ABIT BM6 and must current BIOS.

I have posted this in the Overclocked section as well, hoping one of you fine people could point me in the right direction, thankz in advance for your responses.

it could be that when you increase the fsb speed, the agp speed increases. Maybe your card can't handle the faster than spec agp speed. Do you get 3d games to work at 66mhz??

MERC, thanks for the reply......I've tried, and nothing, nada, even at the rated 66FSB, just locks up tight, which brought me to assume that it has to be a software problem, as I am using the puter right now. Only problems are with the OGL and D3D. Hmmmmmmm, maybe if I tried to reinstall all my drivers, **** thats a bunch of work. Once again thanks for the reply

Shoot, forgot to mention that my vid card is a PCI, not AGP.

I have a Viper770 and had a problem getting 3D games to work properly. 2D was great but the second I needed the 3D to kick in it **** the bed. The Diamond techs explained that TNT's are very sensitive to having their own IRQ assignment. I had to rearrange the cards in my machine to get the 770 its own unique IRQ. Also, he said that they are very sensitive to BIOS settings. Try disabling Video Caching. I know it goes against everything you've heard but basically the more conservative the settings, the better it'll work. Hope it helps........Fritz
