SpeedFan V4.19 (freeware) http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php CPUIdle Extreme (uncrippled shareware) http://www.cpuidle.de/ Phil2k3 12-31-2004, 12:07 PM I always seem to get an error! G 12-31-2004, 12:30 PM Com’on, it does not take much acumen to figure this out. You must had or do have a version of CPUIdle on your machine. You have to buy it if you want to continue benefiting from its cooling properties. You will be given a site link, username, and password to download a registered version. It runs on my machine permanently and significantly cools my CPU and in turn case temperature too. http://order.kagi.com/cgi-bin/r1.cgi?QD6&& SpeedFan V4.19 will be of help? Have you tried it? Sorry, but I cannot send you a copy. Ask Andreas for a discount, I’m sure he will oblige you, as he is a nice guy. Phil2k3 12-31-2004, 06:30 PM SpeedFan V4.19 didn't seem to calm the fans down none the less. ukulele 12-31-2004, 07:34 PM Software solutions are just a part time solution. Get a different HSF with a larger fan. They run at a lower speed and cool just as good. The HSF should have a noise rating of 28db or less. Why fight it? zybch 01-02-2005, 05:53 AM I have used CPU Idle for years now, and while it won't replace a really good cooler, it does get my temps down a lot for such a small utility. SysOpt.com
