I have Madden 2004 for the PC and if you were binding the controller for the running back and made one button the sprint button, it would override the sprint key for receiving, basically making so that you could NOT have the sprint button the same for running backs and receivers. In the console versions however, the X-button on the controller is the sprint button regardless of receiving the ball or rushing with it.
Does anyone know if this is the same way in Madden 2005? I don't want to waste my $9.99 (Compusa has Madden 2005 for $9.99 the week of 12/26/04) on it otherwise.

madden 2005 on pc is awesome however the controls are so entirely whack it takes a huge amount of learning to get used to them, as for the runningback/reciever sprint button yes its the same for both once the ball is in the recievers hands, but if you press the sprint button before ithe ball is in his hands then the cursor will just switch to a different player. I recently picked up an xbox with madden 2k5 and to be honest it completely whomps the PC version, while the pc version may look better the xbox version is so much more fun.

Thanks for the feedback.
I figure for $9.99 I really can't lose, I can always sell it again for $5.00 and get most of my money back.
On the other hand, I may just stick with Madden 98 for the Playstation, as I have the most fun rushing in that game.
