I need to find out what Memory I have. I mean what nanoseconds and all the other neat stuff. I soon will be overclocking and need to find out what NS I got. It says at the Little Start Up Screen That I have CAS3 MEMORY
It is a 32 MB RAM PC 100 STICK

P.S: Is there a programm that will tell me this?

sisoft sandra does it tell you how many nanoseconds your memory is. under one of the memory banks readings their should be numbers that read 8-1-1-1-1 6-1-1-1-1. I believe this reading says the it is 6ns. But I'd wait for somebody else in this forum who knows so much and is a more reliable source.

Yes, Sandra does give you the readings of your memory cache! you will find the information in the "Mainboard Information" modual. then it is under the "logical/chipset memory banks" section. I have one stick that is Cas3 6ns and one stick that is Cas2 6ns.
Hope this helped

Ok I checked in the mainboard info and it says there:
Bank 0 Setting: 16 MB SDRAM 8-1-1-1R 6-1-1-1W
Bank 1 Setting: 16 MB SDRAM 8-1-1-1R 6-1-1-1W
Bank 0 + 1 Memory Module:
32 MB 16x(2mx8) SDRAM Cas3 PC125U-333-602
So what does this all mean???
Do I have PC-125 SDRAM with 6ns and CAS3?

Tell us all of the information printed on a single IC of your SDRAM stick, and any other labeling on the stick as a whole.

I should point out that Sandra can be very unreliable. Several times I have found the memory stats it gives to bear no relation to reality! Moral: don't place a lot of faith in what Sandra tells you about memory.
The safest way is the way Roy suggests - identifying the chips themselves.

Ok I checked and it says:
RAMS 16-32
4x64 PC-100
On the chip
I hope this helps

Are there no numbers on the individual modules on the stick? Those are the ones needed. You can believe the CAS3 part that Sandra gave you. The ns rating is another matter.
Go here http://www.epox.com/support/general/faq-23.html for a bit of guidance.

I can't read the numbers on the IC itself. Maybe if I take a really close look at it. Can't you guys figure ot the NS anyways /forum/smile.gif
