Anybody NOT have a Gmail account?

I went from having my initial two invites left (out of 5) to now having 10 Gmail invites available.

Anybody want an account?

I don't have one, and don't think I need one..but I would like to know whats up with these invitations, etc.?

Something just doesn't fit...why the need to be invited?.. and, a mailing address from an invitation would be no different from one somebody just signed up for...right?..

You can't just sign up for one, yet...Bovon.

It's still in Beta, and...still by invitation only...

I only use it for two things, basically...Spam list, in other words...subscription to something which I may suspect to send me spam...and, large attachments.

I have a few large attachments, or files, that I use for work...I also keep a copy of them on my thumb drive on my key chain.

My VPN client for work, for example. Can turn anyone's broadband PC into my work PC in a matter of minutes, if I had to, that is.... Been in a pinch at a buddys, had to dial into work, and...driving home after a few "sodas" was not an option....

It's nice to have 1GB online storage at your whim...that's all. Plus...it does as good a job of filtering spam as I've seen, too!!

yeah bovon nothing is up. it is in beta and once it goes full i think you get to keep account where others will have to pay if im correct ? that or it upgrades im not sure but it is great.

I just sent you a PM. Probably switching ISPs since Cox wants me to pay to tear out their line and replace it. Thanks to moisture in the cable from the pole I get a whopping 50kp transfer when it even bothers to be up. Looks like I'm going to go the DSL route if I can't get Cox to replace it. *Goes look for pelet gun*

When I log onto the page, at the top it tells me how many.
I haven't head anything about paying for it when beta is done. I won't pay a cent for it, or upgrades, either...

That's very interesting....

Since Google is the widest and most used search engine (and IMO the best), I understood it was going to be beta and invite only because millions upon millions would ask for an account, that is their way to limiting that until the beta is done. That's my understading....nothing about paying for it...

Thanks, had to pull it out the trashcan thanks to yahoo. It will miss alternates of Viagra yet it'll happily dump mail I want. Sounds about right. :t

Now just have to port my addresses over and keep yahoo as what it really is. My spam account.

I'm using my Gmail for my main personal. I just dumped all my Hotmail accounts after about six or seven years. I use a couple subaccounts from my ISP to control my spam. I have MailWasher Pro to back up if necessary.

Yeah...ScottUbelke gave me mine months ago...and, I in turn got 5 invites to hand out. Only handed out 3 of them.
Then...just the other day, I got that note that said invite 10 friends across the top. I'd bet they're ready to go final public release, soon...

You've got email.
It's a bad idea to put your email out on a public website like this.
Robots and spiders are dying to pull email addresses to spam and load you up...just a thought.

Might want to ask a mod to remove that.
