If you have a boot up disk with CD support boot from this and run the win95 cd. If your cd is the upgrade version, insert disk one of windows 3.1 to make computer think you have windows on it already. If its the full version, it will simply install. If you do not have a boot disk, you could install Dos then the drivers for your cd.

A boot disk with cdrom support is available at www.bootdisk.com....The step-by-step instructions are available at:
http://www.computing.net/howto/advanced/partition/Partition.txt

Since you will have a bootdisk with cdrom support, you can simply boot from a (with the cd drivers loading) and then type in cd d: then d: cd win95 then d:\win95\ setup.exe and your system will run the setup program, if it is a full cd, just as fishboy says.

I was thinking of formating my harddrive and reinstalling windows 95. I was wondering what the correct procedure is or a site that explains the procedure. Thanks for the help.
