For alot of you I suppose you have already finished this game...and although I have asked this question on the other post here ( "Got HL 2 " ), I decided to quarry those who have played it and to ask a basic question(s).
I love this game and when in the game playing I have no problems ..and the game engine runs good....
My problem, which by the way is an issue others have had also, is that when using the save game feature in the main menu ( which looks good and when it works is ok ) my computer is locking up radiacally alot of the time. Sometimes it will work for a few savews ok, then whenever , I xlick the save and it immediately locks up and I get that droning noise , Sometimes it will eventually bring up the save list box and I can save a new save..but once it locks up it just continues.....
In another post here someone mentioned is your computer overclocked to someone. I only have mine at 5% overclocking right now ,with no other overclocking issuesto report.
Its quite obvious to me that even though this is a great game with many top rewards,that since so many people experience this or somethinhg similar that Valve or Steam would render a fix or patch which I have not seen any to date ( Steam automatically installs any recent patches .and I have those)
I am in the porcess of contacting both parties as I hear their customer service is good.
I know games for the most part cannot always be perfect and nothing is..even in a great game, but afte a five year wait and an even longer wait to work out the bugs that this would be noticed somewhere. maybe if you have a real high end computer this may not happen I do not know.
Replaying parts of a game is not so bad,its just very annoying to get through something..just to find its for not...and having to do it over.
If any of you have had this problem,please let me know here and state your issues...and observations...
