I got this game from Santa ;) at the start when I was installing the game I ran into some problems, it took me about 3 times starting over before I could get it to install, I eventually got it installed but now when I click on the icon it runs, then the screen goes black like its getting ready to load yet it hangs on that black screen, when I click ALt Cntl Dlt it says "not responding" has anyone ran into this problem yet?

got the patch fixed the problem, I didnt think there would have been one out so soon, Im not huge RPG gamer, but I have to say I like this one alot. the graphics are not even close to HL with the source but the game play is fantastic, there so much to do.

It is indeed a good game. No Deus Ex but still a fairly solid game thats been somewhat over-battered by the critics IMO. There are several bugs out of the box however and the patch is a must. Plus as many critics have pointed out Vampire places a much higher strain on systems than HL2 whiel looking less impressive, what they seem to have missed out is the fact that it's having to carry an RPG calculation system under all the graphics to boot.

one more thing, Does anyone no some tweaks for VTM Blood lines? I am having some problems with the game stuttering and being some what Choppy, I have installed the latest patch but still with some chop and stuttering problems.

The game will behave like that until you get 1 gig of memory. I had the same problem running 512 and noticed that the choppiness coincided with my HDD turning. After I upgraded, I have no more choppiness.

My wifes machine was having the same problem running the Sims 2 with 512 MB memory. That was also resolved with an upgrade to 1 gig.

It seems the days of 512 MB being enough for a gamer are officially over with the new generation of games.
