I've tried to install this superdrive in three different system with Windows 95 and Windows 98 but have been unable to make it work. I have been getting a message like "unable to initialize" when I attempt to format disk. Looking for answers.

Have you disabled your A floppy in BIOS?

You can also recheck your BIOS IDE settings for the LS120.

It's tricky, but try changing the options when you 'autodetect' your IDE devices. You may have to try more than once. Oh, and...remember to select your HD the same as it was listed before.

You might try changing the order that the LS is connected to you motherboard. I run 2 hd's and a CD and LS. I don't know how you have your computer configured but I found that the only way I could get the LS to work was to slave it to the CD. So you might want to try a number of different configs until you find one that works. Luck to ya.
