A PCMCIA card and a 32-bit CardBus Type II card are one and the same.

All wireless cards are NOT created equally. You get what you pay for.

You may be impressed as much as I am about this card:

I have the Lattitude D600 & the wireless LAN is built-in. Check to see if yours does before you go out & buy the card.

Sort of. If you stick with a card that notes cardbus you'll get a card with a 32 bit bus and 32 bit drivers.

Pay attention to the specs if it just says PCMCIA. Could be 16 bit. Will still work and for a wireless card it is less significant. Give then choice I'd opt for a 32 bit card everytime however.

I'm in the market as well for a wirless card, still deciding weather to internal from notebook or external card. I didn't realize that there were other companies that offered external wireless cards at such low prices. I'm going to check these out!

In looking at the b & g network, is b still fine just for surfiing, finding hotspots and downloading? I don't plan on sharing at all. I'ts just me. Or should I fing a card thats dual?

Thanks :t
