Monitor Centering in 3D games

Does anyone have any advice on how to center the monitor viewport in Glide games? I use SciTech Display Doctor to center my Win98 desktop, but certain Glide games come in way off (2"-3") center when the game runs, so I have to adjust back and forth.

When I had that problem it was my refresh rate.. when I set it to optimal or 60 hz I think this fixed all my problems all where centered and it was all cool!
