In the old days I was using a dial-up internet account. The first pc act as the "master", installed with ICS and connected to the modem/phone line. The network card of the second PC is connected to the network card of the first PC via a special "crossed" network cable. So I can have 2 PC using internet together.

A year ago I setup a broadband account (cable internet) and had purchased a wireless broadband router (just a common one). So it allows all my PC's to share the internet: I have 3 PC connected to the router via cable, the 4th is connected via wireless network card.

For reasons I need to terminate the existing broadband account. I do not know how long it will take me to setup another one with a different service provider. My plan is to get a dial-up internet service account (which takes no time.) But I would like to allow the same 4 PC's to use internet (not all 4 together of course) without much hassles. Is this possible at all? Can I setup one PC to connect to the internet via a modem and allow the other 3 PCs to share the connection via the existing broadband router, after changing some settings?

Also much appreciated if someone could point out some links for me to read.

If the Router has a serial port you can buy an External DialUp Modem, and share with the Router.

Otherwise it is back to one computer with two NICs and ICS.
