How to Adjust USB Modem Port Settings [Archive]

Have a USB External modem using COM3 but can't figure out how to check/adjust port settings; i.e., 9600-921600. COM1 & COM2 were easy via the device manager. Thought maybe it would be under USB controllers but nothing there either. ABITBX6 w/WIN98SE.
