Put in new battery and still have same problem. Help!! Have an older sock 7 with award bios. Posts showing only 1mb ram and you have to go into setup and use default then it sees 64mb and boots into win95. If machine is turned off it goes back to 1mb and when you go into cmos it looks like there was 96mb in the mach at some time. Tried changing jumper to clear cmos but still comes up saying 1mb. Any experience or advice appreciated.

Are you 100% sure you are putting the CMOS jumper back in its correct postion after clearing? If your CMOS eeprom is in a sockett (most are) make sure it is fully seated in its sockett..(give it a little push http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ) Try reseating/cleaning edge connections on the RAM yet? (take ESD precations when cleaning/handling as always)
IF all else fails, can you flash BIOS?
Probably not much help ,but its all i got http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif
