Hey sysopt...

How do i go about uninstalling a USB wireless lan card, everytime i freaking uninstall it, it comes back whenever i check for new hardware.

It comes back with the old driver, and i dont want it to use it, because the driver it is using is for the wrong device.

WINXP PRO
USB card: swl 2300u

Its reading as: netopia wireless card USB

...
simply, get rid of device, and install with a different drivers insted of old ones keep on coming back.

When you install a USB device windows creates an INF file in C:\WINNTINF or C:\WINDOWS\INF

You need to find and delete the OEM##.INF or OEMUSB##.INF

The ## can be any assigned number by windows such as OEM1.INF

Open each inf and you can figure out which one belongs to the USB device.

You can then install the new driver because windows will need to search for it.

found it, deleted it, looks like this new driver i downloaded is worthless, because it wont let me install it.

I looked online, and i looked the picture, and they are EXACTLY the same, and i typed the model # in google, but couldn't find anything.

Hmm, any help??
