Got some nasty spyware that's not going quietly ... hijacked IE and keeps bring up porn popups ... Spybot, Ad-Aware and AVG have all had a go at getting rid of it with not luck, so has anyone got any bright ideas?
It's kinda urgent ... coursework and all that ...

First, drop IE and use Firefox from now on.
Make sure you have the latest versions of Adaware SE, Spybot 1.3, CWShredder, Spywareblaster, and an antivirus (Free ones are AVG and AntiVir).
Download/Install all of them, and update them all.
Restart in safe mode.
Delete your temporary internet files and everything in your %temp% folder.
Do full system scans with each program.
Run Spywareblaster when everything is cleaned up.
Restart in normal windows, and download all your windows updates.
If running Windows XP, disable system restore before doing all of this, and re-enable it once everything clean.

Try Adware Away, running twice with a reboot between each scan.
