The card i have is a Radeon 9600 pro 128mb, 128bit, with AC cooler on it

Any sugg. on a newer card trying to keep within 200$ price range. her card is a tnt-2 ultra, my old card. So as u can tell i like both cards from ati and n-vidia

Edit: Boy do i feel foolish didnt see the next post, answered my question.
Now another question is would the gt6600 get bottlenecked in my system, and what is a good brand of the gt6600

That is if i can talk my wife into the extra $$$ for this card.

If you can't wait, get a 6600 GT. If you can, I'll bet a deal on a 6800 will come up soon. A few weeks ago a PNY 6800 could be had for $200 AR.

ATM, there isn't a huge selection of brands to choose from for a 6600 GT. Newegg currently only has XFX.

Thanks for the help

I can wait, im in no hurry to go out and buy at the moment. Especially if there is a chance to get a better card for the same price.

Still the question remains would it get bottlenecked in my system i currently have?

Thanks Again :t :t

it wouldnt be that bad the bottleneck but im pretty sure there would be one.

BUT the 6600GT will still give very very high FPS in any game out there and will be a quantum leap better than the 9600pro you have just now. meaning no disrescpect to your old card.

None taken porsch, I figured there might be considering the bandwith of my mobo verses the newer cards out. I also know that what is top of the line today is usually outdated by next week in the pc industry, with the leaps of technology.

My 9600 pro has been and still is a great card, and my system has been rock solid for over a year now. So i figure my system has enough life left in it for one more card. Then this summer i plan to build a new 939 based system.

Thanks For The Help
