Anyone ever see an error message "The handle is invalid."

When I try to run a program (.exe) from a CD, I get this message on my home PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My old cd-rom (2x) gives weird errorrs too, when i try to install program with it. My new creative 48x works fine and i use the old cd-rom only for playing music.
