I have an AMD K6-2 400 and a Voodoo3 2000 video card w/card cooler fans. My CPU normally runs around 100 degrees F and 106 when running a 3D game. I recently put Waterfall on which cools it down during idle periods to 86-88. Is the 20 degree variance, with the corresponding expansion and contraction, harder on the CPU than the 6 to 10 degree changes without the software cooler?
