I've got this program that is autoloading from my registry:

c:\windows\stgl.exe

I've googled it but the only hit is an asian web page and I can't decipher what it says.

Anyone familiar with what stgl.exe might be?

When are you going to reinstall Windows? Sounds like another virus to me.

It's not listed at sysinfo site. Better start scanning.

Could be reinstalling soon. One of the next steps is to get a current virus scan done. If it's too messy then a reinstall would be recommended. The system is used almost exclusively by the kids for games so there is little concern about rebuilding the system.

However, in addition to 2 gaming systems for the kids there are 2 laptops used to run a couple of home-based businesses on this network as well.

My next visit to the owner will involve a long session on safe computing. (Bring on the ether-condoms!!!!!!!!)

P.S. I will pull the entry from the registry entry that starts it and rename the file as well.
