Mabey, probly not..

Comcast might do something so that you can get internet with them but it'll be more expensive.

Like shadezero said, they will most likely do something for you but they will most likely charge you more as well. The big companies like that work in package deals. They wont want to sell you just one unless you pay them about the same as both.

This was the prices for Comcast in my area last year when I got it.

Basic cable TV service = $30 per month.

High speed Internet without basic cable TV service = $40 per month.

High speed Internet with basic cable TV service = $45 per month.

Kind of a no-brainer huh?

Cable, it depends on "COX". Yes you can have any ISP you want even though the cable belongs to some one else. Although the cable owner "COX" might charge you an additional fee to allow you to connect to a different ISP. With Cable you can have multiple Cable Modems hooked up and connecting to different ISPs at the same time.

With DSL, in the switching station, basically your phone line is plugged into a Box that splits the data from the voice signal. This box then sends the data to the ISP that ordered the box. The ISP then determines your log on and routing to allow you access to the internet. The majority of the phone companies will not spit the phone line to allow a second box to be installed. On top of that, chances are the phone company that owns the switching station that you are connected too will require that your Voice service be through them inorder to allow the box for DSL to be installed. This is the problem I had with SBC/Ameritech. Although you can have any one you want be your ISP. Example: SBC owns my Switching station. I have to have my Voice service through them. My ISP can be ATT, Verizon, Yahoo, or any one I want.

I can only guess as to why you want or need different services, if you are trying to compare them look at the speeds that they offer and other services like port blocking to compare them. I say this because, again as an example, the speeds that are available are limited by your ISP not the Phone company. DSL service through, what was Ameritech, was only available at a max of 768Kb down and 128Kb up, yet I was able to change to WMIS and was able to get 3Mb down and 384Kb up. This is because the type of equipment that the ISPs have. Typically the smaller ISPs up date their equipment more often to provide the different services, where as, it is too expensive for the Big Boys to do the same.

i dont think its possible because if that happens two companies will be sharing their IPDSLAM's, with the same service...
