Ok, so I have 2 computers on a basic network right now: my main WinXP machine (Athlon 900MHz, 20gb, etc); and an old 400MHz, 2gb Presario.
What I would like to do is either:
a. find a linux distro that doesn't overload the older system and can be somewhat easily networked to my main system (so far DamnSmallLinux comes the closest);
or...
b. have my main computer serve the older computers OS (y'know, like on older networks where the workstation nodes didn't even have hardrives because all the operating information was on the server).
Also, can I have option B without bogging down my main machine?
I understand that getting a larger harddrive (or just some newer computers) would easily solve the problem, but that's not really in the budget and, besides, I like learning new tricks.
