HardDrive acting weird

Yeah my hardrive has been acting weird lately once in awhile while doing anything. The hardrive just keeps cycle over and over making sound but not doing anything. So i have to reboot. Its not that random acessing but it like a it get stuck just cycle over and over. It start happening just a couple days. I used scandisk to find errors and fixed them but that was not problem. I elminate the vcache setting in the system.ini just to see if that might be affecting it don't know yet because i just did it. Would setting the vcache to high cause that problem if not what other suggestion do you think it could be?

Try getting a Low Level Format utility off the manufacturer of the HDD. They usually come with a bunch of diagnostic tools that aren't included in scandisk.
