It's Front Side Bus - on the CPU, as opposed to Back Side Bus where the L2 cache attaches. The latter is no longer visible on today's x86 CPUs, since the L2 cache is on the same chip as the CPU core.
Anyway. That "FSB200" processor runs at 100 MHz with Double Data Rate transfers, which the marketing airheads chose to falsely call "200 MHz". It should work on that board.
Nonetheless, you should tell us what board you have there.

if that link you provided was correct then these are the details for the motherboard:
Part Number : #2512599
Motherboard : Jabil Athlon motherboard - 1.1-GHz
All docs found at gateways site:
http://support.gateway.com/s//MOTHERBD/JABIL/2512599/2512599nv.shtml
The mobo specs : http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/MSI/2510174/251017418.shtml
couldn't find much information on the upgrade options for CPU. But in the Readme.txt file included with the last bios update for this board says the following:
Version: 0AAVWP09
* Added support for 1.3-gigahertz (GHz) or larger processors.
but thats for an older bios update.
Current BIOS version is 0AAVWP13
so update the BIOS.
Latest BIOS Update at the following page:
http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/getFile.asp?id=19164&uid=70012119
the motherboard chipset as mentioned there is
VIA KT133 chipset consisting of:
* AMD VT82C686A South Bridge (peripheral controller hub)
* AMD VT8363 North Bridge (host controller hub)
PeterM, hope that helps, i can't say much about KT133.

Well, KT133 can do 133 MHz RAM but only 100 MHz CPU front side bus. "FSB200" Athlons should work on it.
First Thanks to everyone for the help. and yes that link is to her computer mobo. It's that gateway thing. seems hard to find stuff on them.

That's not fried that's drowned in silver goo. Remember the stuff is electrically conductive, and must not, ever, come close to the contacts and components on the chip carrier. Clean the thing thoroughly and try again. That wouldn't be the first one to miraculously work again thereafter.
