I have a real interesting problem here.

I have a Celeron 333 installed in Slot 1 ( obviously ) on my M748mr motherboard. I WAS going to take it and a patch up B21, but the darn thing won't budge. I have a standard heatsink and fan on it. I've tried everything I got at pulling it out, but it won't budge. I'm also afraid of cracking the motherboard. I took unhooked everything off the motherboard and laid it down on a anti-static mat. I pushed down on the board and the slot as a pulled up on the CPU. NOTHING! What gives? I think it doesn't want to leave because it knows it's going to get replaced soon. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

make sure you unscrew the connecters on my p2b you have to unscrew these gold nuts to take off the cpu becuase the heatsink snaps in to thses platic connecters.

what kind of retention kit came with your mb? i have to push down two little latches on my retention bracket before the celeron can come out. maybe you have to totally remove the retention kit first?
