i use an amd athlon xp 2000+ processor.my os is xp with sp2 and win98. my bios version is Award Software, Inc. ASUS A7S266-VM ACPI BIOS Revision 1002, 03/09/2002
i have 256mb ram installed.
1.) my problem is that when i boot my system sometimes a beep sound comes and the system stops booting. when i press the power button it resumes. once windows is loaded the problem dissappears. i have detected high temperature in the cpu especially the ram. what can i do to cool it down.is the temperature related to the problem. please help.
2)my processor speed is set as 1.26ghz. i tried 1.6 and there is no visible problems. does my motherboard support it
