Hi!

Juz upgraded from MSI 5169 ALi V mobo + K6-2 266 (o/c to 3x100=300)to Asus P5A rev1007 K6-2 400 (o/c to 4.5x100=450). Every other component remains and I'm pretty sure it's not a o/c and cooling problem cos it will also crash at original 400mhz.

Its always when using IE4 will the system crash, and error msg will be something like "An Invalid Page Fault in MSHTML.DLL blah blah.." or "Iexplorer has an Invalid Page Fault blah blah.." but by clicking OK button, system will resume normal.
Upgraded to IE5 but problem still remain.

Can it be my CL Banshee AGP settings or driver problems? I have "AGP Turbo Mode" set to Disabled in Award BIOS and all SDRAM timings set to most conservative timings.

Pls help? Thanx.

I Have exactly the same problem, and i dind't found a cure for this. I have a different hardware configuration from yours, my Mb is a lucky star i400bx, and my graphic card is a CL Riva TNT.
I think we have to re-install the system.
I posted this before and received a lot of tips and posible solutions to this (thanks again to all), but they didn't work. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif(

Machamix ~ can you post the link to your previous post re this problem so we can eliminate what hasn't already worked?

Gum ~ Win95 or 98? Could be a corrupt file. Have you tried running SFC - System File Checker (Win98)? If it is a corrupt file, you can extract and replace it from the Win98 CD. You may want to also try TweakUI's Repair tab, Repair System Files and Repair Registry Files. I have had great luck with this utility.

Then again, it could be some kind of conflict. I would try the above first and see if that works.

Have you installed any/all patches & update releases for IE?

Meanwhile, check out these MSKB topics and see if any come close to what you are experiencing. Suggestion: Read through all the topics below before deciding which one(s) you want to try.

Alternatively, you may want to go to http://search.microsoft.com/us/default.asp and do a search.

RE: the Banshee AGP/drivers, I don't know.

Hopefully you can find a lead here somewhere.
