Ok, just to get this out of the way, my comp specs are:

1.2Ghz amd
512 Ram
128Mb Radeon 8500
Windows XP Sp2
Windows Media Player 10

Everything was working fine until I recently installed my new 160GB hard drive and started from scratch. Now, when I go to play some anime movies that have an .ogg file extension, the video and audio don't seem to sync up, the audio seems to be ahead of the video.
I tried reinstalling the ogg.exe file that I downloaded so I could watch the movies, but still the same.
And like I said, everything was fine until I started from scratch with the new HD.
Also, the same thing happens if I try to run the movies directly from DVD as well.
Anyone have any ideas or experiences with ogg files?

Thanks

Arent .ogg files audio only? Also, try having the dvd drive and the hard drive on different IDE channels.

well, i'd like to say that I know that ogg is only audio, but I have really no idea, and my DVD drive is on a different IDE channel than my HD.
I ran diagnostics on my sound card, everything came back ok, so i'm not sure what else it could be

The fact that it is playing, but playing out of sync, says to me that the proper codec is not installed. When you started from scratch, do you mean that you formatted and reinstalled windows? If so, did you install all the proper drivers (chipset, video, audio, etc). Do you notice any hardware conflicts in device manager? Also, try completely uninstalling any codecs which you have installed, and install this:
