mobo +sound

i have a fic 503+ mobo and i have static in the game speech. i tried all vol. levels to no avail. and 4 different snd. cards, to no avail. my old mobo (shuttle hot-569) worked ok. what am i doing wrong?? jim.

I'm no expert here, but, are you sure the mobo is properly grounded?

paul, yes it is. i found the prob. it was a bios setting, in the pnp, pci column. thank you for the reply, jim
