Motherboard Front Panel connectors

Just a quicky, and I know it would be easy to find out, but in general, if you wire up audio to the front panel connectors do the corrosponding rear panel connectors still work?

E.g. to wire in the line out and mic on the front of my case I have to take the jumpers off the front panel connector on the motherboard and whilst the front panel connectors will then work, with the rear ones?

It should, all connecting the front ones does it give you that option.:t Unless you have a really funky Mobo;)
