I have an Albatron PX865PE PRO socket 478 motherboard. The board has 4-sockets for DDR & DDR2.
I'm runnung 2-sticks of DDR 512mb PC3200 (1-gig) right now.
Can I add/mix 2-sticks of DDR2 512mb PC3200 WITH the DDR Sdram??
If so...Would there be noticable benifits? Just asking for future upgrade possibilities
Thank's

where does it say it supports ddr2? the 865 doesn't support ddr2 and that board doesn't support it according to the website. are you sure you aren't mistaking it for dual channel?

Midknyte,
You're correct...My mistake! I do mean Dual Channel.
Not really knowing the difference in this type of ram yet!
So with my 2-sticks of DDR 512 PC3200 in sockets 1 & 3, I guess the question stands as...Can I run 2-more sticks of the same? in sockets 2 & 4 or mix 2-sticks of Duel Channel? (all at 512 PC3200)

they are all ddr. there is no "dual channel" ram. as long as they are matching pairs, you are good to go.

Indeed, the chipset/board doesn't support DDRII memory, just DDR. You're confusing the terms DDR/DDR2/dual-channel.
Your system users DDR memory and you want it to operate in dual-channel mode. The best option is to refer to the manual for your board - it will give you everything you need to know about setting up your board. The short answer tho is simply to ensure there are matching DIMM's in slot 1/3 and matching DIMM's in slot 2/4. To enable dual-channel the memory sizing doesn't need to match accross banks, just slots. Considering the price these days you might as well go with PC3200/DDR400... probably what you're using anyway.
