is it possible to make cable from harddrive to parallel port (printer port)? That way i could use my harddrive like external drive.

There are some companies that make the equipment to do this. It takes more than a cable. Assuming you are talking about an IDE drive, you can purchase a kit that will allow a IDE hard drive to be connected to the printer port. The kit includes its own small power supply and the necessary software. I thik I have seen these in tiger catalog.
