Winamp crashes on Win XP Pro.

There is a problem with Winamp. It crashes when you start palying mp3's on Win XP Pro both SP1 and SP2, Winamp version is 5.05. Anyone who also experienced this?

If you have audioscrobbler plugin, there's a bug with SP2. Either remove it or get the update here (http://www.spibey.com/scrobbler/).

Have you tried a fresh install? uninstall any 3rd party plugins in Add/Remove Programs before uninstalling it. Then,

Uninstall -> Reinstall:

1. Uninstall Winamp (via Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs)
2. Delete the Winamp dir (where Winamp was installed)
3. Delete C:\Windows\Winamp.ini AND C:\Windows\Winampa.ini
4. Reinstall Winamp Other Common Issues (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1243376#post1243376) & SP2 related (http://forums.winamp.com/search.php?action=showresults&searchid=2277989&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)
