net passport

Hi my parents had their pc installed by a company that no longer exsists. They set up my fathers net passport for him and set it to automatic sign in, my sister recently used the pc to sign into net passport now my dad cant sign in because the useless company that set it up did not inform him of his password, when i went to i forgot my password and it asked for a secret answear to a question my dad did not set so he does not know the answear.
Anyway my question is, is there anyway my dad can recover his password he is using xp pro.

please help my dad is loosing his temper over this

passport sites are owned by microsoft. He can call them since he forgot his password and the password question is unknown. After identity verification, they can reset it.

The other other option is to create new accounts and start over.
