Hey, my friend who owns a MAC with OS10 on it is trying to get XBConnect (lets u play xbox online www.xbconnect.com) to work on his computer.

The website has a version of the program for macs and it says:
Mac: If you own a Mac computer, head over to www.postpose.com and download Aquaduct 2.

When he downloads Aquaduct, it comes in a .dmg file that his computer doesn't seem to be able to open, his error message is as follows:
Aquaduct cannot be run from where it is. If you are attempting to run it from the dmg, plz copy it to your hard disk and try again from their.

I'm not to familiar with macs, so i have no clue what to do. How can we get this file able to install so we can play?!

Sorry for resurecting this thread if it's no longer of interest to anyone, but...

The .dmg file is short for "disk image" and should be considered equivalent to a removable media volume (aka NOT the internal hard drive).

In other words, copy the application to the hard drive and it should work. That's what the error message you are getting means.

Take a look at this simple procedure:

It's really that easy... :)

Holy krap, I just tried out my link to my picture (hosted on my website) and it gave me a 404 error! I am 100% sure it worked when I posted it... I re-FTP'd the image so it should work again now.

Eh, I wonder if my hosting company had to use a backup between yesterday and today.
