I'm building my first ATX, and have already worked through some problems. I had it running, but now it won't boot to the BIOS. I don't get the initial beep. Everything runs, fans, drives, even the CPU gets hot... but, no beep, no boot.
I've changed the CPU... no luck. The board is an FIC PA-2012, CPU is AMD k6 266. Memory is single 64mb PC100 sdram.
Would appreciate any help or encouragement.

Check your voltage settings. I just built an AMDk6 300 for a friend today and it took me a while to figure it out. the K6/2 300 runs at 2.2v. It should be the same on yours, but if you want to check, remove the fan and look at the die, it say the voltage there.

Hope this helps.

Here's an update guys. Apparently the present BIOS won't support an AMD k6 266. I put a Pentium 200 in and she fired right up.
I'm either going to have to upgrade the BIOS or use a different CPU than I'd planned to.
I'm going to try the upgrade first. The latest BIOS says it will support AMD k6 2's, so I'm assuming that a plain k6 should work. If anyone knows, please advise.
