HD making a weird noise

I've got an hard drive that is making a strange noise when I start my computer. He sound like an old lawn cuter (brooooooommmmmm) What should I expect.

well i have a quantum ka + 13.6 at 7,200
and it sounds like an aircraft engine starting

Quantum harddrives are notorious for their loud cracking noise they produced.
