Hi, I used to listen radio on the net using real player or windows media player, is there an easy software so that I can record the programmes into an mp3 file? I assume that's the way I can burn and listen in the car.

Thanks for telling me

No free programs that powerful that I know of. It even lists shows and can be timed to start and stop.

If you have CD burning software that will record in MP3 format from the line in on you'r sound card, you should be able to run a patch cord from the line out to the line in and record that way. I don't know if the quality would be very good this way, but it should work. Hope this helps :)

Winamp 3 and stream ripper. I think winamp5 has it built in.

Do you know if that works with Real player in digital format? I remember a few years back I tried that and it was blocked and you had to record to tape and the back in from the line in which was not too good. I know replay radio has a licensing agreement with Real Networks and WMP to work with it in digital format. Also Replay Radio records in both high and low quality, can auto edit dead air space and compress voice recordings for dictation use and can be programmed to re-tune if the signal is dropped. It can also record in MP3 and wave formats. It can also record from stereo mix, mono mix, analog input and video input. As an added bonus it can retrieve blocked URL's stations hide so you are directed through a ad manager. This allows you to schedule a recording in the future if you want. One of my favorite features is the show list. It has hundreds of regular shows already listed and programmed to schedule recording at the touch of a button. From my experience this is a quality product and well worth the money spent.

If it’s streaming audio it should work fine. I used to use for recording internet music stations, but now I use the software that comes with my sound card. If you have a creative sound card it comes with software that does everything that uku has mentioned.

That work too but super light MP3 players are all the rage right now. People just don't know how to legally fill them up.
