When I try to log into hotmail, I keep getting this error message.

"NetCache is not configured for SSL/SNEWS or other tunnelling requests.

This means that:

Your browser is configured for SSL requests (for example, https or SNEWS) but NetCache is not. This prevents SSL requests from being completed. Please contact your system administrator. "

What on earth does this mean??

I don't have anything called NetCache!!

Please someone help.

I have Win 98 IE5.

Many Thanks

I once had a friend up atmy house checking his hotmail a/c with mycomputer (Win98, IE5) and the same error popped up.

Started up Netscape 4.6 and everything went fine. Must be some bug with it, maybe IE 5 SP1, or IE5.01 will fix it.

HAHA, and MS owns Hotmail! That's funny, doesn't even work with their browser...

Aha. Disable the Proxy Server fixed the problem.

Thanks.
