Just wondering, a guy is selling me a car stereo deck with XM radio capable. Im not sure whether he owns it or someone else orginally did before him. My concern is that does the activation requires the serial number and the orginal person who bought it info correct? If this the case then I will not buy it. Do you have to have the serial number and the original buyer info to activate. Im new with this xm and sirius radio stuff thanks.

Are these xm or sirius radio even worth listening or subscribe to?? Are there any more special than what you could put on mp3 cds these days? It's like 10 to 13 bucks or a month are they good?? Thanks.

I don't know about teh activation thing myself. But I do own an XM radio, and I can tell you about why I like it. I spend a lot of time in my car. In fact, most weeks, I spend more time in my car than I do in my office. For that reason I got it. It gives a nice variety of things to listen to, and its not the same stuff that the radio stations play.
As far as cd's go, they play songs I haven't even thought about in years, so alot of it, I don't have on cd.
However, it does cost about $9 a month for XM, but thus again, if you spend enough time in the car, you may find it worth it.
