If anyone remembers from my posts before, I was having a ton of problems with all kinds of crazy errors ('bout a week ago). Instead of ditching all of my peripherals and cards to troubleshoot, I took the suggestion of the tech at work and put my Celeron 300a back into my system. Before this I was going on yet another fresh install of W98 and was getting some new errors I never posted (something about XMS not running or other, and missing VXDVMM32.dll along with a ton of crazy text). I got these with pretty much every boot. I put in the Celeron (non-oc'ed of course) and BOOM!!; no errors. So basically I got it down to: a)the processor is bad to begin with (boxed retail, so I have a 3 year warranty), b)my RAM just doesn't like 100MHz (I checked it with DimmId and it is true PC100 RAM), or c)there is a card or something somewhere that doesn't like that 100MHz bus either. One of the problems I was having at startup (I posted this one in my second post I believe) went away after I reloaded Easy CDCreator. Any ideas or the like?? TIA and for before!!
