Anybody seen this preview? Looks pretty neat.

i've been following this one for a time, and am quite excited for it.
one cool thing about the engine from what i've read is that it allows for thousands (sometimes literally) of bugs to be on the screen at once.
i just hope everything doesnt look so... i guess plain or uniform is the word i'm looking for?

With all the hype over the big games coming out soon, it will be harder for this game to make a big impact. But the bug scenes do look like something you just can't get in any other game.

thats one of the reasons I will not watch the sequal, I seen clips at it looks like ****, the frist one was fantastic so ill leave it at that. but this game looks pretty sweet, yet id have to see more previews or maybe a demo or something.

i dont know why i rented the thing. it doesnt have any of the original cast or anything. :x

if you watch the trailer pretty close you'll notice that the game play is dead on from the movie which is a big plus. the first starship troopers game, that point and click piece of god knows what I'm certainly glad they didn't make the same mistake twice.
all and all it looks good it looks like we have to wait awhile though but can you blame them honestly.

I agree, it looks dead-on like the first movie, which is nothing but a plus for me.

Haven't seen the second movie, want to stay as far away from that as possible. :D

I believe I know what you mean, tasty. "Vanilla" is what I'd use to describe what you're looking for.

Much as I enjoyed the first movie (there was a second?!), I was disappointed by how it made light of Heinlein's writing. There was a lot of social philosophy in that slim novel.

The movie also gave short (if any) shrift to the technology behind the Mobile Infantry's combat suits. As far as I was concerned, those suits were teh bomb! Definitely the model for Gordon Freeman's environmental suit, and Master Chief's combat armor.

Well, let's see how the game turns out, and if it will be worth getting.
