So intels answer to the FX-55 is going from the 3.4 Ghz EE to the 3.46 Ghz EE. now that is a big jump i think we all agree.....not.
anybody got benches for this new chipset, im interested to see what that bleeding fast fsb can do.

No I think its increasing the FSB. hmm so what are they running at now? 1066/4 hmm no caluclator on this compy will do later.

well it works out at they can runn DDR 533. so 266.5 or something. looking at benches it doesnt make any difference

I prefer anandtech reviews. which showed that it was a pretty pointless excercise this.

Yeah, goes to show that even prescott is happy with 800 FSB, and that's the 1MB cache edition - which really only starts needing 1066 FSB above 4 GHz. A P4EE would need ~4.2GHz to make 1066 FSB a worthwhile endeavor.

^^ yeah.
I think Intel just put this out to look like they're doing something, but this new speed format may never mature. I think they're gonna move on, away from the GHz race to new horizons.
