I have been looking at the Sound Blaster Live Value and found it at Krex for around $50-$60, my question is , what is the difference between that one and the one I can get from my local puter store for $99.00.

BBA 09-20-1999, 06:11 PM The difference is you get a box, Prody Parot software and a CD-Digital connector cable. The OEM leaves these 3 items out! BBA Joel Kleppinger 09-20-1999, 06:40 PM Well, buy.com has the retail version for ~$50 + shipping. Too bad you missed their free shipping weekend this past weekend. The only thing that really matters is that CD Digital cable. It's really nice and does provide a noticeable improvement in the audio quality (to my ears anyway). liketa2s 09-22-1999, 10:57 AM Thanks for everyones responce I really apriciate it. Virus 09-26-1999, 12:52 AM I just took an extra analog cable and cut off two of the connectors (while/empty). I haven't tried it yet since my DVD drive didn't have a digital out on it. I have an extra CD rom with digital here. I'll throw it in today and see if it acually works. SysOpt.com
