Right now I am using a D-Link DI-624 wireless router. Workks great and never any problems. My old router was a D-Link DI 614+ which also worked great when I used it. I gave the 614+ to my daughter, and it worked fine. She then moved, and ever since, can't conect to the internet, although the network part of the router works (can see the other computer on the network)

She brought the router to me, and I tried it on my setup (where it used to run) and got the same problem. I tried resetting to factory default, rebooting, re-flashing to a previous rom, and no internet connection (just LAN)

I'm about ready to give up the router as dead, as I can find no reason for it not to work. I don't think I am missing anything. Is there a way to test if it really is dead?

Ok, now this is just weird. I still have the DI-614+ in use, and although I can't get online thru any of the hardwired computers on my network, my wireless laptop is working.

What would cause a computer using an ethernet cable not to connect, but I can connect wireless? The router is set to all the default settings (All lights where an ethernet cable is plugged in are lit on the router)

Don't know what is going on, but the router is working fine now. Maybe it just needed to be powerd up for 30 minutes to warm up :)

Try updating the firmware
