Extenal Cache with AMD K6-2

I have a K6-2 400 on a FIC-2013 motherboard, with the latest Award BIOS flash and Win98v2. When ever I have External Cache turned on, my games (Star Craft especially) will bump me back to Windows Desktop. When I have it turned off my games seem to run great. The first thing I though it was was my cooling so I threw in a few more fans and that didn't make any Difference, If you have ever heard of this or know if it is infact the External cache causing the havic, please let me know.

If you still have any kind of warrenty, then return the m/b.

Sounds like it is indeed the cache if you get no error with it disabled. You shouldn't have to run with it disabled, as you're hindering performance quite a bit. Get it replaced if you can.

Just FYI, my external cache just bit the dust too. I also have a FIC board (503+). Makes me wonder.
