Using Win 98 and Earthlink.
I'm getting an acute blue-screen which states " DPAL Error at line 550". There's no escaping this easily; must do cold boot.
Once completed a cold boot; my utilities (Norton) finds over 100 lost clusters and invalid chains. This is causing my HD to have problems with freezing. Nortons will find the occasional cluster/chain errors once it alerts itself to a problem.
Has only started since Internet came to my system.
I have no idea....
Is it Earthlinks server sending me problems? Is it my win 98 settings that they told me to change for my system?
Earthlink seems to drop my calls often as well. What??????????????
